Dr. Ana Aguayo-Bryant and Craig Bryant, the founders, have dedicated their lives to supporting former foster youth. Both have served as resource (foster) parents and have mentored many young people in the foster care system. In 2021, they learned about a former foster youth who was graduating from a local university but faced the threat of homelessness. This situation highlighted the need to establish a supportive community for former foster youth transitioning from university to their careers.

 

In response, they created the Alumni Alliance in 2022—a beacon of hope for former foster youth, offering the support needed for a successful transition from university to professional life.
