Career Development Workshops
Career transitions can feel overwhelming, especially without a built-in support system. Alumni Alliance offers career development workshops that help former foster youth prepare for the next step with clarity and confidence.
These workshops focus on practical skills like resume development, interview preparation, job searching, and workplace communication. The goal is to help alumni feel prepared, capable, and supported as they move into professional spaces.
Community Building Activities
Connection is at the core of Alumni Alliance. Community-building activities bring members together through social gatherings, group outings, and shared experiences that foster trust and belonging.
These moments create space for alumni to connect with others who understand their background, share challenges and successes, and build relationships that extend beyond formal events.
Housing Options
Stable housing is a critical part of a successful transition after school. Alumni Alliance works to support former foster youth as they navigate housing changes during and after university life.
When resources are available, the organization helps bridge gaps between student housing and independent living by offering guidance and financial support to promote stability during this important transition.
Building Career Networks
Access to meaningful employment can open doors to long-term independence. Alumni Alliance connects alumni with professionals who share their lived experiences, career paths, and insights into navigating specific industries. Through these relationships, members gain exposure to different fields, workplace cultures, and potential career pathways.
While Alumni Alliance does not offer employment or job placement services, we collaborate with professionals who value inclusion and opportunity. These connections help alumni build networks, explore workforce options, and gain knowledge that supports informed career decisions and long-term success.
